Privacy policy

Last updated 6 October 2026

BDIT College ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it and the choices you have. We process personal data in line with the Data Protection Act, 2019 of Kenya.

What we collect

Details you give us when you send an enquiry, register for a course, apply to teach, request a quote or subscribe to updates: your name, email address, phone number, the course or service you are interested in, your organisation and any message you write.
Technical data needed to run the site securely, such as your IP address and browser type, kept in short-lived server logs.

We do not ask for payment details on this website. Fees are arranged directly with our admissions team.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry and help you choose a course.
To process your registration and contact you about your intake.
To send course announcements, but only if you subscribed — every email has an unsubscribe option.
To keep the website secure and prevent spam.

Who we share it with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the website and email (for example hosting and email delivery), under agreements that protect your data, or when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months. Registration records are kept for as long as needed to issue and verify certificates. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, object to how we use it or withdraw consent at any time. Contact us using the details on our contact page. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.

Cookies

This website uses only cookies that are needed for it to work, such as the session cookie for staff signing in to the admin area. We do not use advertising cookies.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
